I know that most of you have watched this video several times but after reading Rabbi Menachem Frohman's letter to Barack Obama, I feel the need to remind Obama supporters worldwide that despite the obstacles and the struggles along the way, we can make a difference if we only put aside our pride and self-interest and work towards a common good. Yes we can!
Dear God thank You for granting us enlightenment and discernment in this election. As we go to the polls to choose Barack Obama as our next President we thank You for guiding that decision. We give you the glory and honor that when "our hearts and souls hunger for You [in wisdom and enlightenment] we are filled", (Luke 6:21). Because of You we can rebuke the demon of racism, bias and election trickery and while some say; "Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House ....[and that] one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks [potentially causing] the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama...to be larger than the final difference between the candidates..."[http://news.yahoo.com/page/election-2008-political-pulse-obam a-race ), we say;"but for the power of our awesome God!" This battle is Yours and Your righteousness will prevail. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
