Scott McClellan Endorses Obama

Scott McClellan, President Bush's former press secretary, says he is endorsing Barack Obama for president, the Washington Post reports.

McClellan published a best-selling book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," criticizing G.W.Bush and his "entourage". In addition, Scott McClellan sort of said earlier this year that "he might vote for Obama or even register as a Democrat".

Do you think that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney will be backing Obama-Biden before November 4th? How's that for an October surprise?

I hear someone say: "thanks but no thanks"...

Oh, and another Republican (there are so many of them that I have lost count of their names), a former Republican governor in Minnesota, Arne Carlson, endorsed Obama too. Carlson said that Barack Obama's stances on the Iraq war, the economy and green energy goals won him over: "Regardless of our party, regardless of our partisan inclinations, there is no interest more compelling than the interest in the well-being of the United States,"..."I think we have in Barack Obama the clear possibility of a truly great president," he said. "I would contend that it's the most important election of my lifetime."
